In this ever decreasing global world there’s a plethora of charitable and philanthropic ventures to contribute to. It is important to give back to the community. We support a number of community organisations and projects, and have a passion for helping the less fortunate through PNG Community Projects. For every loan approved and settled, Savvy Home Loans donates to the Kavulikau Elementary School, Tigak Islands of New Ireland, PNG, Papua New Guinea. This school supports a community of children and fundraising efforts can be channelled into buildings, facilities and educational equipment.

Kiva Loans that change lives – Avid supporters of Micro Finance entrepreneurs since 2009, Leanne has been supporting women in micro finance entities. Enabling women to start businesses to support their families and communities in third world nations is a humble contribution we can make towards the betterment of the lives of others.

KAVULIKAU COMMUNITY TANKS PROJECT
Impacted by a King Tidal wave in December 2009, this village was destroyed by salt water surgence. Crops destroyed, no water, homes washed away. This was a logistical feat delivering on 2 community water tanks purchased from a fundraising effort. Imagine, it took some 10 months to co-ordinate the project. 1 dingy loaded with a 3000 litre water tank and and helpers. 2 trips back and forth which took into the evening to complete delivery. Carrying across open ocean for a 1.5 hour trip to the island of Kavulik. Walkie talkies and co-ordinating instructions from Australia to PNG around various islands to ensure safety. Cement, shovels, rocks, pick axes to build the base and the water tanks. Built in true island fashion with good old fashioned hard labour and physical sweat and a whole lot of patience. No machinery. The tanks were successfully delivered and installed without injury or harm.
LEUKAEMIA FOUNDATION
Our own personal journey with Leukaemia opened up opportunity to provide support fundraising for this worthy cause. Through various events and associations we were able to cause and contribute $26,000 towards the Leukaemia Foundation.

Our living proof that there is a cure.
