Leanne began lending in 2001 and co-founded Savvy Home Loans in 2007, bringing over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial lending. She's built a successful business that has weathered personal family illness, shifting markets, regulatory reform, royal commissions, pandemics—and done so with heart, integrity, and grit.
Her journey into finance started in 2001 when she was inspired by Kerry Packer’s investment in Wizard Home Loans - a lending model that opened the door to more choice for clients. That spark, along with a nudge from a previous business client, led her to open the doors of Wizard Home Loans Wynnum, all while raising six kids under nine and a teenager! It was bold, it was hectic—and it was the beginning of something enduring, and she has never looked back!
Today, she still thrives on mapping out strategic paths and connections for her clients with complex needs and she is deeply committed to making sure her clients feel supported and understood and seeing them achieve what’s important to them however, Leanne’s focus is as the Head of Growth at Savvy where her true passion lies in lifting others up - by investing in her team’s growth and ensuring every client feels genuinely cared for when dealing with her Savvy team.
Whether it’s a straightforward home loan or a multilayered commercial solution, she brings warmth, clarity and quiet confidence to the table. As Shakespeare said, “A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one”—and that’s Leanne in a nutshell. Outside of finance she likes to eat (food), pray (for a never-ending week-end), love (babies, mahjong & all things under the Tuscan sun).

Derrick is co-founder of Savvy Home Loans and after 23 years in the industry, the best thing is (as Lawsie would say) “Keeping the dream alive” helping his original clients through all the stages of their property journey. Better yet, it gives him the warm & fuzzies to know be helping the next generation, the children of those original clients live the dream too! Better still, the third generation is coming through, although he won’t be around to help them, that’ll be up to Jarrad and the next generation of the Savvy family!
If he wasn’t in the finance game, he’d be designing & building things and windsurfing wherever there’s clear waters & strong winds!

You’d never guess by looking at her, but Emma Klingner brings 18 years of lending experience and proudly represents one of the Redcliffe Peninsula’s pioneering families.
With a strong foundation built during her years at a major bank, Emma transitioned into mortgage broking in 2016 and has been helping clients achieve their property and financial goals ever since. She specialises in building wealth through property, with deep expertise in SMSF lending.
Emma is passionate about making the loan process quick, simple and stress-free. As a dedicated professional and mum of three, she thrives on delivering seamless client experiences and securing strong financial futures.

Jarrad Pon didn’t arrive at Savvy Home Loans by the usual route - but every step of his journey has shaped the thoughtful, committed Credit Analyst he is today, being his second year in the finance industry. John & Paul (yes those two Beatles) wrote & sang about the long and winding road that leads to your door: They could well have been singing Jarrad’s life story.
Jarrad holds a double degree in Accounting and International Business and, spent time in sales with a major home builder, sharpening his client understanding and gaining exposure to property from the ground up.
Now part of the Savvy team, he supports brokers and clients through the lending journey. His days spent in crunching numbers in a spreadsheet, verification, refining finance solutions and progressing loans to settlement with efficiency and precision. With deep family ties to the business, Jarrad’s here to learn every corner of it and appreciates when he’s at work, business comes first and he enjoys contributing meaningfully to a legacy built on trust, integrity and growth and he’s proud to be backing a team that supports others, and excited to help clients make confident, informed decisions through that collective effort.
If he’s not working the numbers, he’ll be in the gym or with the love of his life setting up home & cooking up a storm.
